Lagrandevoyageuse is the little sister of lapetitevagabonde, only bigger! More than just a gîte, lagrandevoyageuse is a home for living, a house designed for getting together with family or friends, while preserving privacy. With its generous proportions and simple, meticulous decoration, lagrandevoyageuse is exclusively reserved for welcoming travellers – holidaymakers or digital nomads – or trainees for retreats and seminars. A house typical of Etoile architecture from the 1930s, enlarged and modernized in the 2000s, and completely renovated in 2023. Today, it reflects a harmonious combination of the old and the new, blending luminous spaces with secret nooks and crannies.

Just 2 steps from the marina and the ria d’Etel, close to shops, the weekly market and the ocean, lagrandevoyageuse is a haven of peace, a place to recharge one’s batteries for a vacation, a telecommuting break or a meditative retreat.

At lagrandevoyageuse, you can leave your car in the parking lot and enjoy your vacation in “slow” mode, on foot or by bike.

Lagrandevoyageuse has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms with shower, and 2 separate WCs. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Outside school vacations, you can reserve the ground floor of the gîte only, and enjoy a 120 m2 house with 2 large bedrooms and private bathrooms, for 4 people. Lagrandevoyageuse then becomes the traveler. Upstairs bedrooms are available at extra cost, depending on your needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

A large-capacity gîte in south Morbihan

The entrance, a large open space overlooking the interior garden where you can leave coats, jackets, boots and shoes, gives direct access to “La galerie”, the heart of La grande voyageuse, a 40m2 room with a winter garden feel, a large sofa and a comforting wood-burning stove.

From the gallery, you access the kitchen on one side and the English living room on the other. You can also pass through to the garden side!
The kitchen (18 m2) is ideal for cooking together and sharing meals on its large family table. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Also on the ground floor, a laundry area with washing machine and dryer.

The fully enclosed Zen garden invites you to relax and share. A large wooden terrace can accommodate a large table and lounge sofa.

The 5 bedrooms can accommodate 2 couples with 5 children, or 3 couples and 3 children.

The master suite looks out onto the interior garden. Measuring 18m2 with its original antique parquet flooring, this is the ideal room for finding calm, reading, working, writing, dreaming.

You’ll find a 180cm bed, a chest of drawers and a desk with a direct view of the Japanese maple tree in the garden 🍁

The Inclusive Suite, a soft 14m2 room with art deco fireplace, reading corner and bathroom, is perfectly adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on the ground floor.

The 2nd master suite, with its art deco shower room, overlooks the pretty, quiet Rue de l’Yser.

Sur La Lande

The solo bedroom is a sunny cocoon in soft lilac tones. With a surface area of 7m2, it’s small but cosy. It’s perfect for a child in its 90cm bed. It even has a desk! It shares a bathroom with the room next door (Matin d’Azur).

Matin d’Azur

One bedroom, with a total surface area of 13 m2 and a separate alcove. The bedroom includes a 160cm bed and a desk in the alcove. The 2 beds can be separated on request.

All upstairs rooms are south-facing and have a small balcony overlooking the pretty, quiet Rue de l’Yser.

The 3 upstairs bedrooms share a separate toilet.

The exteriors

You enter the gîte through a private courtyard. This courtyard is a first invitation to travel, with its central olive tree and lavender.

Only accessible from the house is the fully enclosed Zen garden. It invites you to relax, but also to share. A large wooden terrace accommodates a large table and lounge sofa.
