How to get to La Vagabonde guest houses and seminars in Erdeven & Etel?
The 2 gîtes at La Vagabonde are about 25 minutes by car from Auray, 1,5 hours from Rennes or Nantes, and 5 hours from Paris.
If you prefer soft mobility, Auray is on the Paris-Quimper High Speed Line. Auray can be reached from Paris in 2 hours 45 minutes.
Nearby you’ll find a choice of bikes for hire. La Vagabonde recommends Cyclo Loisirs in Kerhillio, Erdeven. They are a 500 meters walk from La Petite Vagabonde. And they can even deliver to your holiday destination, whether Erdeven or Etel.
Train
The nearest TGV station is Auray (17 km). You can then take one of the town’s buses to Erdeven or Etel (for around €2.50). Taxis to Kergrosse or Etel cost around €50-60. You can contact Christine (Les Taxis Quiberonnais) on our behalf on 06 10 49 71 71.
If you are staying at La Petite Vagabonde, in season, a TER (regional train called “Tire Bouchon”) takes you to Plouharnel-Carnac station, 10 minutes from the house, where we can pick you up. It connects with all TGV trains. The cost is €4.5 per person. Let us know in advance and we’ll be happy to collect you from Plouharnel-Carnac station at no extra charge. Even better, hire bikes from Cyclo Loisirs and have them delivered to Plouharnel station. We’ll then come and collect your luggage.
Don’t forget to use the Tire Bouchon all summer long to get to Quiberon and avoid the summer traffic jams on this single-lane road. Timetables are available on the Internet.
Bus
Erdeven is served by the Breizhgo urban bus network. The main bus timetables are available at the gîte. For Kergrosse, the nearest bus stop is just over 2 km (10 minutes by bike) from the house. For Etel, the bus stop is 500 meters from the house.

Hiking
The GR34 crosses the commune of Erdeven and passes close to Etel. These communes are also home to over 50 km of marked footpaths, offering a wide variety of landscapes, whether by the ocean, the ria, in the woods or among the megaliths.
