Living well at lapetitevagabonde

  • You are kindly invited to read the environmental charter of LAVAGABONDE (downloadable on our website).
  • The guest house lapetitevagabonde can accommodate up to 5 people. Please respect this limit to fully enjoy your stay.
  • All the premises are non-smoking. Ashtrays are available for smoking outside.
  • Please remove your shoes in the premises. You will find a shoe rack at the entrance of the gite. Please bring your own slippers or indoor shoes.
  • Please do not go upstairs with your outdoor shoes.
  • It is highly recommended to air all the rooms every day. A few minutes are enough.
  • We remind you that in Brittany the weather can change very quickly. Therefore, we ask you to close windows and skylights as soon as you leave, even for a short time.
  • Even if the cleaning is included in the rental, your stay will be even more pleasant if you regularly maintain the place.
  • We pay particular attention to the respect of the environment and resources. For example, the toilets are connected to a rainwater harvesting system. Therefore, don’t be surprised if you see a slight deposit in the toilets.
  • Please throw only toilet paper in the toilet. There are small garbage cans in each bathroom for all other waste.
  • Locking the door is usually sufficient to avoid any inconvenience. However, you will find a safe to secure your tablets, papers and other precious objects.

Special considerations during a pandemic

  • It is recommended to air each room every day. During the period of COVID this becomes a necessity to respect.
  • On departure day, you are asked to remove the beds yourself (including mattress and pillow protectors) and to place all sheets and towels, even clean ones, in bags that we will provide you.
  • On our side, we have put in place a cleaning and disinfection protocol in accordance with the recommendations of the UNPLV (Union Nationale pour la Promotion de la Location de Vacances). This protocol can be consulted on the website http://www.unplv.fr (in French)
  • To guarantee an ecological and virucidal cleaning process, we use Vapodil ® a professional dry steam cleaning solution.
  • Comforters, mattress protectors and pillow protectors are changed with each new rental.
  • We provide you with hydro-alcoholic gel, soap, handkerchiefs, but also all the necessary items for cleaning and disinfection during your stay.

Booking conditions

  • The reservation is guaranteed by the payment of a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay.
  • The balance is due 3 weeks before the arrival date.
  • In case of a last minute reservation, the reservation is guaranteed by the payment of the total amount of the stay.

Conditions of cancellation

  • Cancellation is possible 2 months before the arrival date. The deposit is returned to you.
  • If the balance is not paid 3 weeks before the arrival date, the reservation is considered as cancelled and, according to article 1590 of the French civil code, the deposit is lost.
    • However, if we manage to let the guest house for the same period, then we will refund the deposit.
  • In case of no show, the reservation is cancelled. In accordance with article 1590 of the French civil code, we will not refund the deposit or the balance.
  • If you decide to shorten your stay, we will not make any refund.
  • In case of governmental restriction preventing you from traveling and/or preventing us from renting the place, we will refund the totality of the sums already paid.

Deposit

  • A deposit check of eight hundred euros (800,00€) from a French Bank (or 800€ in cash) will be requested upon your arrival. This deposit will be returned to you at the latest 2 weeks after your departure.
  • This deposit can be used in part or in full to cover major damages, or if it is necessary to call in a specialized cleaning company if the condition of the house requires it.

Insurance

  • Please send us a copy of your holiday insurance policy no later than your arrival. This insurance is generally included in the comprehensive home insurance contracts.

What is included in the rental price

  • The peaceful use of the premises during the rented period
  • Household linen and towels. The beds are made on arrival.
  • A baby bed and a high chair (on request)
  • In summer, if you arrive by train to Plouharnel-Carnac station, we will be happy to pick you up at the station and bring you back when you leave.
  • Depending on availability, we have a few bicycles and a carriage on site (bicycle rentals are also available nearby).
  • A basket containing organic and local products is offered to you at your arrival
  • An arrival kit described below, in the Services section
  • A parking space is reserved for the occupants of the guest house
  • In winter, firewood is provided

Arrival and departure days and times

  • Unless otherwise stated in the contract, arrivals are scheduled on Saturday between 5:00pm and 8:00 pm.
    • If you expect to arrive before 5:00 pm, please come earlier and we will be happy to hold your luggage. However, we will ask you to come back between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm to enter the premises.
    • It is imperative to inform us when you are on the road if you notice a delay that would make you arrive after 8:00pm
  • Unless otherwise mentioned in the contract, departures are scheduled on Saturday at 10:00 am at the latest (the 7-hour gap between departures and arrivals is essential for us to follow the COVID protocol for the benefit of all)
    • If you wish to enjoy the beach or the surrounding area one last time on the day of your departure, please feel free to leave your luggage with us as long as you need.
  • Outside the months of July and August, please contact us if you wish to arrive at different days or times. If other reservations permit, we would be happy to accommodate your needs.

  • To avoid conflict with the real boss of the place, our cat Nina, we regret that we cannot accept your pets.
